2-day mountain navigation event at the top of northern Sweden, well inside the arctic circle. Plenty of snowfields to cross and glaciers & cliffs to avoid, especially the ones not on the map. And quite a few reindeer. A small but seriously strong field, especially on the 70 and 50km courses but also on the 30km option we chose - this also meant we had our tent and sleeping bags flown in to the overnight camp! Being a Friday / Saturday meant lots of people stayed for the post-competition dinner. Well organised and highly recommended, it's not that hard to get to. |
