| Comments: | Paul Brame writes - what a difference a year makes! In 2012 this hilly race was in danger of getting washed away and I do seem to recall having to negotiate one part of the course which was virtually impassable due to a recent deluge. Fast forward to 2013 to the midst of the longest heatwave in 7 years - but thankfully it had clouded over and the there was a gentle breeze. It was still hilly mind!
A rather thin showing from Headington compared to last year, but prizes aplenty - well done to Ian Meadowcroft, Adrienne, Imogen and Rose and I understand that the ladies stength in depth meant that we beat Alcester (who could only muster two female runners). Thanks to Barry Cornelius who lurked in the undergrowth all around the course to take some photos! [The ladies did, indeed win the team prize (Adrienne, Clare and Rachel) to make it five wins out of seven in the Grand Prix series!] If the prizes are wrong or you got a pb, please modify the table or e-mail me. |
